Tina Knowles, supported by Tim White and Scott Nylund of her House of Dereon fashion label, designed two original costumes for House of Dereon Couture and supervised all of the wardrobe worn by Beyonce as she performed her non-stop, two hour set. The outfits, designed with luxury fabrics which included custom designed metallic leathers and velvet applique, incorporated hundreds of hours in handwork, custom finishing and intricate beading which included Swarovski Crystals. In addition, Ms. Knowles also designed some of the costumes for Beyonce’s dancers.

“Performing these concerts were so personal to me,” said Columbia Records/Sony Music artist, Beyonce. “Music is an expression of who I am and my performances needed to reflect my fashion aesthetic as well as the production elements incorporated into the staging for the shows.” She continued, “My mother and I are so close and connected on so many levels, both personally and professionally. Having her design and supervise the wardrobe direction assures me that I will be able to express my love of music and fashion as well as my creative vision for the overall production.”

House of Dereon Creative Director Tina Knowles said, “This is the fun part of the job! To be able to design costumes for stage is a complete thrill on every level. Through fashion, we are able to add an exciting visual component to the live performance which is what going to a concert is all about!”
