Outdoor Channel’s 5th Annual Spring Fever Sweepstakes A Success With Fans
TEMECULA, Calif., June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Outdoor Channel, America’s Leader In Outdoor TV, today announced the winners of its successful Spring Fever sweepstakes, which ran throughout the month of April. The month-long, cross-platform national promotion, presented by GoRVing, offered avid network fans a chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes furnished by Outdoor Channel’s advertising partners just in time for fishing season. The promotion also allowed Outdoor Channel’s cable affiliate partners to connect with a targeted pool of valuable outdoor enthusiasts.
More than 120 participating cable affiliates nationwide, representing more than 26 million subscribers, signed on for the promotion – marking Spring Fever’s highest number of participating subscribers in Outdoor Channel history. The affiliates aired cross-channel spots and local ad sales vignettes featuring Outdoor Channel stars, Mark Zona of “ZONA’s Awesome Fishing Show” and Pat Reeve and Nicole Jones of “Driven with Pat and Nicole,” who were this year’s Spring Fever brand ambassadors. The fifth annual sweepstakes concluded with more than 165,000 consumer enrollments, the best ever since the campaign’s inception in 2008. In total, Spring Fever has attracted over 500,000 consumer enrollments.

The grand prize winner of this year’s sweepstakes was Charlene Bish from Erie, Pennsylvania, who won the 2012 Somerset folding camping trailer by Columbia Northwest, designed for the ultimate outdoor enthusiast. The grand prize was presented by GoRVing, the official sponsor of the promotion. Additional winners from all across the nation took home a range of prizes, including an Echo Lawn equipment package, Magnum Spike camp tent and Bowtech’s Insanity CPX, among others.
