Special Days at the 78th Annual San Mateo County Fair with plenty of Freebies and Fun

SAN MATEO, Calif., June 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — The San Mateo County Fair, “Where Tradition Meets Innovation” announces the full line-up of 2012 Special Days for the Fair running June 9-17 where patrons can see new exhibits and returning favorites more often and for less.

From the heart-racing carnival rides to the pageantry of the pig races, the Fair is a time-honored summer tradition of the Peninsula that keeps getting better and better. When you first set foot at the lush, clean grounds of the San Mateo County Event Center, you are flooded with a seemingly endless choice of fun-filled activities: technology exhibits, games and rides along the Midway, agricultural and interactive culinary exhibits, horticulture, beer and winemaking contests, home crafts, and of course, rides just for kids.

              Monday, June 11th Kids Day presented by

              with new clothes for foster kids and
              get half off general admission with
              your donation at the San Mateo County
              Fair. Everyone 12 and under that go
              through the turnstiles are free.

              Tuesday, June 12th Seniors Day. If you
              are young-at-heart, yet over the
              hill, come celebrate Seniors Day where
              guests 62 and better are invited to
              attend a day filled with special
              events, music, awards and family fun
              FREE all day. Donate your used

              Wednesday, June 13th PAL (Police Action
              League) Day at the Fair and Free til 3
              p.m

              Thursday, June 14th Second Harvest Food
              Bank Canned Food Drive; $1 discount
              per can donated. (Limit one can per
              person.)

              Friday, June 15th Teens (13-19 years
              old) are admitted for only $5 from
              12pm-5pm.

The San Mateo County Fair recently announced its free entertainment Verizon Wireless Concert Series that is, perhaps, the finest lineup ever:

Concert doors will open at 6:30pm with music scheduled to start at 7:30pm. Concert admission general seating is free with a valid Fair ticket, but get there early as seats fill fast. Fairgoers are encouraged to purchase Season Ticket Passes which provide valuable savings and entrance to all concerts.

The San Mateo County Fair also offers its exclusive Season Pass, meaning that for only $17 (if purchased before 6/9), attendees get admission to all nine days of the fair, including all concerts, exhibits and attractions.
