Ticket Utils Announces New Interactive Seating Charts for Ticket Sellers

June 29, 2012

SADDLE BROOK, N.J., June 29, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Ticket Utils, creators of RocketPoster, the widely used eBay ticket broker ecommerce solution and the leading provider of ticket broker software, today announced the release of a new product for powering Interactive Seating Charts. Ticket Utils’ Interactive Seating Charts provide ticket brokers, ticket exchanges and any ecommerce site selling tickets with clickable seating charts that show available tickets by section.

The TicketUtils’ seating charts catalog currently features static and interactive support for 2,300+ U.S. and International venues and over 5,000+ custom static seating chart configurations. It features coverage for all major professional sports in the U.S., most NCAA venues, all major venues in the U.S., most secondary venues in the U.S. and growing coverage for International Venues. It is the largest and most diverse licensable seating chart catalog in the industry.

“We’ve been licensing static seating charts to the industry for several years now”, says Ticket Utils Founder, Brian Hampel. “We are excited to add fully functioning interactive components to these charts to give our clients new capabilities and increased ticket sales.”

Ticket buyers accessing an interactive seating chart see a representation of the venue with the seat sections labeled. When a ticket buyer clicks on a section the system will display available tickets for that section. The information displayed for each available set of tickets includes section, row, quantity available, price, preferred seat identifier, e-ticket identifier and an optional custom note to provide any specific information desired.

The Interactive Seating Charts are available today for many of the most popular venues and dozens more are being added weekly. The interactive and static seating charts are seamlessly integrated within one product. If an interactive chart is not available for a specific venue, the system will display a static chart.

The technology is powered by a lightweight JavaScript engine, making the seating charts fully compatible with iPhone and iPad devices as well as Android and all other browsers. Most other sites are powered by flash based products which do not work on iPhone and iPad devices. The product offers a seamless plug and play upgrade path for broker websites to display our seating charts in place of what they have today.

“The functionality and technology of the seating charts make this the easiest to use, most widely accessible seat charts available today.”, say Mr. Hampel. “Using these seating charts will enhance the ticket buyer’s experience.”
