SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Eat24.com, the premier web and mobile food delivery and takeout platform, announced today the release of a new Android app that allows users to search, find and order from over 20,000 interactive restaurant menus in more than 750 cities nationwide. The app offers a PayPal payment option, which will allow customers to securely and conveniently speed through checkout.

“Do you enjoy entering your credit card numbers over and over again? That’s a rhetorical question. No one likes that,” says Eat24 Co-Founder Nadav. “With PayPal integration in our Android app there’ll be no more typos, no more payment screw ups, and more relaxed fingers.”

Eat24 s Android app follows the launch of the successful iPhone app, which has seen over 500,000 downloads in the first two months. Just like the iPhone app, the Android app includes 24/7 live chat and order status support, a first in the industry. It manages every aspect of the delivery experience, and with mobile live chat, push notifications and SMS, users can keep tabs on their order without losing precious minutes. When ordering via the new app, users can continue to enjoy their favorite coupon codes delivered every weekend through Eat24 s free VIP loyalty program.

“Almost 50% of our mobile traffic comes from Android devices and it’s climbing,” says Nadav. “If Google is about to smash Apple we want front row seats for the showdown.”

The Eat24 Android app lets users search for a specific cuisine, restaurant or even a particular dish. It remembers user preferences such as favorite restaurants, payment information and past orders for easy re-ordering.

The Android app is available now for free on Google Play, which means Eat24 fans are just a few taps away from “dinner is served.”
