Legendary House of Blues 20Th Anniversary Celebration Kicks Off 20 Months Of Festivities To Commemorate 20 Years Of Music And Over 20,000 Amazing Live Music Performances
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — House of Blues, the country’s pre-eminent live music venues are set to kick off a 20(th) Anniversary extravaganza to commemorate 20 years of music and over 20,000 amazing live music performances at their world-famous venues. The 20-month long celebration commences December 4 at its renowned Sunset Strip location featuring Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and legendary rock band ZZ Top.
As part of the 20(th) Anniversary celebration featuring major sponsors Citi and Hertz, House of Blues tours are being scheduled throughout the U.S featuring bands such as Flogging Molly.
Additionally, in the spirit of the founding values of House of Blues, venues across the nation will be providing 20,000 Thanksgiving meals to the needy.
International House of Blues Foundation, dedicated to bringing the arts to schools and communities through its “Action For The Arts” program that promotes cultural understanding and encourages creative expression, will be offering numerous HOB 20(th) Anniversary activities.
For every ticket sold for HOB’s 20(th )Anniversary concerts, $1 will go towards supporting “Action For The Arts.”
House of Blues celebrity chef, Aaron Sanchez (Food Network’s “Heat Seekers” and “Chopped”), will be dishing up items from his newly-created menu during a pre-show reception at Crossroads at House of Blues as well as host a 3-course fine dining experience in Foundation Room during the December 4th event.
The first House of Blues was established in Harvard Square and in the ensuing 20 years House of Blues has accumulated countless musical highlights including producing the Super Bowl XXXI Halftime Show, presenting the first-ever live-music, broadband-pay-per-view event on the Internet and forever changing the landscape of the world-famous Sunset Strip when House of Blues Los Angeles opened to a star-studded crowd featuring Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi, Bruce Springsteen, Steven Spielberg, James Brown amongst many others.
