Americans Seeking Answers about Obama’s Ideological Roots Launches Film to #1 on Amazon.com

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The following is being released by O.A.F., LLC:

The blockbuster hit film “2016: Obama’s America,” which grossed more than $33 million at the box office has reached the top of the DVD charts on the day of its release, becoming the top selling movie at Amazon.com. The film is also the top-selling documentary of the year at the box office, the #2 political documentary of all time and the #4 documentary of all time.

2016: Obama’s America is the most in-depth investigation into those people and places that influenced President Barack Obama’s political thinking and his desire to downsize America’s influence in the world. It uses the best argument of all: Barack Obama’s own words from his book Dreams from My Father.

The film was produced by Doug Sain, and Gerald Molen, who won the Oscar for producing “Schindler’s List” and also produced blockbusters such as “Jurassic Park” and “Hook.” Writer/director Dinesh D’Souza is the author of the bestselling book The Roots of Obama’s Rage, upon which the film is based. D’Souza’s most recent book Obama’s America went to #1 on The New York Times bestseller list.

“We are thrilled that the film continues to excite and intrigue Americans,” said Gerald Molen. “The entire campaign has been fought with talking points and political advertisements. This film is one of the few in-depth sources on Obama’s background.”

2016: Obama’s America was filmed on four continents and features on-camera interviews with those who knew President Obama, including his destitute half-brother George Obama in Kenya and Philip Ochieng, who was an associate of Barack Obama, Sr.

“Love him or hate him, you don’t know him.” 2016: Obama’s America is the definitive account of how one man’s past could redefine a nation and where we will be in 2016 if Obama remains in the White House.
