Gary Bauer Brings Strategic Senate Campaign to Missouri; Urges support for Todd Akin
“Barack Obama’s Senate has been a graveyard for pro-family policies,” noted Bauer. “It is time to bring new life to the Senate. Todd Akin will fight for Missouri’s values, not against them.”
WASHINGTON, Oct. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Former presidential candidate Gary Bauer announced this week that his Campaign for Working Families political action committee was launching new independent expenditures in key Senate races “holding Democrats accountable for their embrace of President Obama’s failed agenda.”
“Missouri voters overwhelmingly rejected Obamacare’s individual mandate. Claire McCaskill voted for it. Seventy-one percent of Missouri voters supported a ballot measure to protect normal marriage. Claire McCaskill opposed it,” Bauer said.
“Anyone who takes just a few seconds to examine the voting records of these candidates will quickly realize that Todd Akin is much closer to the common sense values of Missouri voters,” noted Bauer. “I know Todd Akin. He is a good man and a solid Ronald Reagan conservative.”
“The voters of Missouri deserve a senator who will fight for their values, not against them. Todd Akin will be that senator,” Bauer added.
Bauer, the chairman of the Campaign for Working Families, is rolling out ads as part of a six-figure independent expenditure campaign on Christian, country and news talk radio formats in major Missouri media markets.
As part of this independent expenditure effort, Bauer is also running ads in Indiana in support of State Treasurer Richard Mourdock and in Ohio on behalf of State Treasurer Josh Mandel.
This campaign is one of many spear-headed by Bauer’s operations. Recently, the Guardian called Bauer “one of the leading campaigners in the U.S. on pro-life and pro-traditional family issues.” Well-known for creating effective campaigns in key states, he has run ads this cycle exposing Obama’s radicalism on marriage and highlighting the shockingly negative reaction of Democratic National Committee delegates to the inclusion of God in their party platform.
