Save Africa’s Children is Set to Honor Bishop Charles E. Blake, Founder and CEO, at its Tenth Year Celebration

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Save Africa’s Children (SAC) will host its 10th Year Celebration of the charitable work the organization is conducting on behalf of children affected by HIV/AIDS, poverty, and conflict throughout Sub-Saharan African and Haiti. This is the organization’s fundraising event to support programs that provide care for these children.

The highly anticipated VIP Reception and Dinner will take place at The City Club/Wells Fargo Center, located at 333 S. Grand Avenue, 54(th) Floor, in Los Angeles, California on Thursday, December 6, 2012. Slated to be honored are West Angeles Church of God in Christ Pastor, Bishop Charles E. Blake; movie star and director, Denzel and his wife, stage actress, Pauletta Washington; businessman and NBA Legend, Earvin “Magic” and his wife, fashion designer, Cookie Johnson; businesswoman and philanthropist, Dr. La-Doris McClaney; and corporate leader and humanitarian, Dr. John Gregory. Congresswoman Karen Bass is set to be the Mistress of Ceremony and Joshua DuBois, Executive Director for the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, will be the Special Guest. South African well-known artist, Solly Mahlangu, will provide live entertainment. Award-winning photojournalist, Valerie Goodloe, will have her photos displayed throughout the event. Her photos will also be seen in a video presentation of SAC missions to Africa.

In acknowledging the work of SAC, Bishop Blake remarked, “This event will reveal and revere the extraordinary support and financial assistance the organization is providing for children affected by HIV/AIDS, poverty, and war throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.”
