Digital Management, Inc., (DMI), Appraised at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) Maturity Level 3 for Services
BETHESDA, Md., Jan. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Digital Management, Inc., (DMI), a leading provider of mobile solutions and services for smart devices, announced today that it has been appraised at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level 3 for Services. The CMMI for Services model, governed by Carnegie Mellon’s CMMI Institute, previously the Software Engineering Institute, provides a comprehensive integrated set of guidelines for providing superior services. The company adds this new appraisal, CMMI-SVC v1.3, to its existing CMMI Maturity Level 3 appraisal for Development, CMMI-DEV v1.3. The CMMI Institute’s published database of appraised companies includes only 15 U.S. companies that have achieved CMMI-SVC v1.3 Maturity Level 3 or higher, and fewer than half of those companies have also achieved a CMMI-DEV v1.3 Maturity Level 3 appraisal.
DMI has achieved this new appraisal by demonstrating that it meets or exceeds a set of documented, best-practice standards for work management, process management, service establishment, service delivery and support, and supporting processes. These standards were set by product teams that include industry, government, and the CMMI Institute.
CMMI maturity is well recognized within the Federal Government as a measure of a company’s ability to reliably deliver superior services and solutions. DMI’s appraisal at CMMI Maturity Level 3 for Services offers Federal agencies the assurance that DMI meets and exceeds the highest standards for excellence in service delivery today. This independent validation of the quality of DMI services is of particular relevance to the company’s Enterprise Mobility Management Services. A growing number of Federal agencies rely on DMI to securely manage their mission-critical mobile infrastructures, devices, applications and data.
“Earning CMMI Maturity Level 3 certification for both development, and now services is a tremendous achievement which just a few companies in the world have attained,” said Sunny Bajaj, DMI’s President and CEO. “We’ve built DMI, and our rapidly expanding enterprise mobility services business, on a fierce commitment to achieving the highest levels of excellence in service delivery. We’re grateful to the CMMI Institute for providing guidance to companies looking to improve the quality of their services, and for establishing benchmarks that clients can use to gauge vendors’ performance. We’re very proud to say we meet and exceed these high standards.”
DMI is a leading provider of mobile solutions and services for smart devices. The company’s commitment to superior services and solutions, including Enterprise Mobility and Cybersecurity Solutions, Strategic Consulting, Managed Services, and Application Development, has resulted in dramatic growth and an expanding client base that includes all fifteen U.S. Federal Departments and scores of commercial clients.
