LONDON, January 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ –
The world’s first private cloud service to use Software Defined Networking
NTT Europe, part of the NTT Group, the number one Fortune Global 500
telecommunications company, will be attending Cloud Expo Europe 2013 on the 29th and 30th
January, held at Olympia in London, where it will showcase its new Enterprise Cloud and
customer portal to a European audience.
Enterprise Cloud is the new Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offering from NTT
Communications: the world’s first private cloud to use SDN and is a major step towards
realising the NTT Communications “Seamless Cloud for the World” vision
Enterprise Cloud is already available in Japan and Hong Kong and will soon be
available in Europe. By March 2013, NTT Communications will provide global cloud resources
in a total of nine locations across Asia-Pac, Europe and the US, to allow enterprise
customers to easily control and manage their global IT estates, to optimize costs and to
help support the global expansion of corporate operations.
The new customer portal will allow customers to improve the overall system management
by monitoring usage of global IT estates, including virtual servers and networks. It also
allows customers to change and allocate resources in real-time.
Commenting on NTT Communications Enterprise Cloud, Len Padilla, NTT Europe’s Senior
Director of Technology, says, “The Enterprise Cloud addresses enterprise challenges with
real-world cloud solutions. This service gives customers a new level of control over all
aspects of their services, allowing them to build and manage their infrastructures. By
virtualizing the network, we have enabled customers, through one single portal, to control
not just compute resources but also network resource as well.”
Cloud Expo Europe 2013 is a world-class conference programme expected to attract over
6,000 delegates. Speaking alongside top industry CTOs and important analysts, Padilla will
present “Flying Blind: How to Take Control with Cloud Computing”, in the Cloud Service
Providers & Ecosystem – Business stream.
NTT Europe is on stand number 1031 at Cloud Expo Europe 2013. With the European launch
of Enterprise Cloud in March this year, NTT Europe welcomes delegates and organizations to
the stand to talk about the benefits and how it can help customers find their cloud.
