Company 3 Colors the Super Bowl, Coloring More Than Half of All Spots

February 4, 2013

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Feb. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The Super Bowl is a marquee event for advertisers setting the tone of many broadcast and social media campaigns. Every year brands compete to create ground-breaking and distinctive ‘blockbuster’ ads that grab attention and esteem from the nearly 100 million viewers. Company 3 (CO3) is honored to have the opportunity to collaborate on some of the industry’s best ads by providing color grading services on over 30 spots that aired during Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVII.

“For many, the Super Bowl commercials are the most anticipated part of game day,” says CO3 Founder and President Stefan Sonnenfeld, who colored multiple spots for the game. “It offers a unique chance to raise brand awareness and the ubiquity of the event all but promises spectacular production quality and innovative commercials. It’s always exciting for us to be part of this creative process.”

Sonnenfeld and fellow colorists Siggy Ferstl, Dave Hussey, Beau Leon, Tim Masick, Tom Poole, Sean Coleman, Rob Sciarratta and Billy Gabor performed color grading services on commercials for brand such as: Anheuser-Busch, Audi, Best Buy, Bud Light, Budweiser, Calvin Klein, CBS, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Chrysler Jeep, Coca-Cola, Doritos, Gildan, Go Daddy, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes, M&M, NAPA Auto Parts, Mercedes, NFL, Pepsi NEXT, SodaStream, Toyota and Volkswagen.

Company 3 teamed up with sister facility Method Studios on the notable Kia’s “Space Babies” and “Hotbots” ads; as well as Chrysler’s “Who We Are” and SodaStream’s “Gameday SodaStream Effect,” all colored by Sonnenfeld. Billy Gabor colored “Goat 4 Sale,” the winner of Doritos “Crash the Super Bowl” contest. The winner was determined by USA Today’s Ad Meter poll and gets the chance to work with Michael Bay on the next Transformers movie.
