Police and Schools Count On Mobile Technology During Winter Storm Nemo
SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y., Feb. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — When Winter Storm Nemo bore down on the Northeast last week, police departments and school districts in the path of the storm turned to mobile technology to keep their communities safe and informed.

Closings, cancellations, and delays were also in effect in Manchester, New Hampshire, where, according to Assistant Superintendent Karen Burkush, “The Manchester School District utilized Nixle to communicate emergency messages to our students, their families, staff and the community as a whole. It has been a very effective and valuable communication tool for the District.”
