10rate Announces Tennis Racket Reviews and Golf Equipment Ratings; Prince, Leupold, Ping Win Top Honors

Editors Brittany Rowland and S. Dee Davis collaborate to look at tennis rackets and golf gear across different categories to choose the best from each

ATLANTA, March 19, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — It’s the perfect time of the year for tennis and golf. Editors from 10rate.com have compiled lists of the best gear in each of the sports. Brittany Rowland took up the task of finding which tennis racket was the best of the best. She broke it down into two categories, men’s rackets and women’s rackets. S. Dee Davis continued his exploration into the best golf gear out there. He put together lists of the best putters, bags, and rangefinders. Once they decided on the 10 best from each category, ratings on a scale of 1 to 10 were assigned. Awards for best quality, value, and budget were given out as well.

Brittany’s list of Tennis Racket Reviews started off with the Prince EX03. She gave it a 9.5 out of 10 and said, “While this racquet is on the heavier side at 11.4 ounces, it’s suited to experienced players who want some oomph behind their hits and it shouldn’t strain the arm or elbow.” While the EX03 was the highest rated on the list, the Head Tis5 racket won the best value award. Brittany gave it this award because it is one of the few for the beginners and intermediate players alike.

Next she rated tennis rackets aimed at the women of the game. Her Best Women’s Tennis Racket list rated rackets based on sweet spot size, maneuverability, power, price, and durability. The Babolat AeroPro Drive GT racket received the top spot on the list with a 9.5 rating and the best quality award. She said this one, “is a low power tennis racquet designed for faster and longer strokes. The small head (100 square inches) increases the maneuverability and makes for an aerodynamic design.”

In the golf realm, S. Dee’s list of Golf Putter Ratings covered the 10 best putters for every golfer’s bag. One of the most notable putters on the list was the Odyssey White Ice Two Ball Blade. It won the best quality award with a rating of 8 out of 10. He said, “this is probably my favorite of all their putters except the long putters. It combines two top elements in putters – a traditional heal-toe blade design that is face-weighted with a lined two ball alignment device that makes for a darn easy to line up putter.”

Next, S. Dee looked at golf bags. Durability, price, stability of stand, access, and organization were some of the top criteria used in rating the bags. The Ogio Golf Stand Bag received a rating of 9 out of 10 and won the best value award for the Golf Bag Reviews list. “They specialize in golf bags more than the other manufacturers and have more models available as a result. They make good quality products and this bag is good looking and durable. Of course, there is a four-point harness shoulder strap along with a plush hip pad for complete comfort.”

Lastly, S. Dee took a look at rangefinders. These are very handy tools for deciding what course of action to take. The Best Golf Rangefinders list covered a few different brands and types of rangefinders. The Leupold GX-3i came out on top with a rating of 9.5 and the best quality award. S. Dee really like this one beacause it, “combines some great features with a small, tough, heavy compact design. It has the bright red LED lit display to separate it from the GX2i and also works very fast to display yardage.”
