Prophet Partners with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights To Create New Donor Campaign
ATLANTA, April 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Prophet, a leading brand and marketing consultancy, said today that it’s partnering with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights to create a unique program to encourage individual contributions supporting the Center’s educational and cultural programming and endowment.
The Center has raised $76 million so far to build a 42,000-square foot facility in downtown Atlanta, expected to open in May of 2014. The Center will serve as a place that connects the history of the Civil Rights Movement to human rights movements around the world today and in the future, and will engage visitors through its dynamic interactive exhibition spaces.
Work on the popular donor campaign is being led by Brad White, a Prophet Partner located in its Atlanta office, under the auspices of the firm’s Prophet for Non-Profit program. In addition to encompassing volunteer efforts around Prophet’s global offices, the program enables the firm’s employees to provide brand and marketing support for worthy organizations and causes.

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights began as a shared vision by former Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, Ambassador Andrew Young, and civil rights advocates and community members. The Center will provide exhibitions, designated event spaces, a broadcast studio, and educational forums that share the courageous fight of all people to secure equality for African Americans in the modern American Civil Rights Movement, and its fundamental impact and inspiration on contemporary movements for human rights globally. Visitors will be immersed in an interactive story-telling experience in each exhibit. The facilities will also serve as a hub for ongoing dialogue — attracting world-renowned speakers and artists who work on a variety of human rights topics.
