Nationwide Learning Movement’s Love of Learning Video is recognized as Finalist for Non-Profit Category by the American Business Awards
NetCom Learning’s inspiring video on the company’s purpose to bring education to the world attracts notice
NEW YORK, May 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Russell Sarder, CEO of NetCom Learning, is the founder of a nationwide learning movement and the inspiration for the company’s moving video, “Love of Learning“. This video tells the story of the company’s purpose to promote education and lifelong learning, and has been selected as a finalist in the public relations nonprofit fund raising category by American Business Awards. The video touches on the inception of NetCom Learning’s nationwide learning movement, Sarder scholarships for worthy students, and the new international program, Love of Learning which provides education in disadvantaged communities. In the video, Russell Sarder talks about how the promotion of lifelong learning is not a marketing strategy, it is the fundamental reason for the company’s existence. As he puts it, “The purpose is part of our DNA.” NetCom Learning staff and instructors voice their passion and understanding of the importance of learning.
The Stevie Awards from the American Business Awards are given to companies and individuals that bring positive contributions in the world of business on a worldwide basis. The Stevie Awards are one of the most coveted business awards in the world. The purpose of the awards is to raise awareness of exemplary organizations and individuals and to provide public recognition of these organizations’ achievements. More than 200 top executives vote on the different categories of awards on an annual basis. Awards honor entire companies, specific departments or teams, individuals, products, reports, web sites and different types of media.

The Learning Movement and NetCom Learning’s commitment to promote lifelong learning originates with Russell Sarder, the company’s CEO. His passion for learning dominates his life and is at the center of his career as CEO. He is from Bangladesh, one of the poorest countries in the world, yet where all parents expect their children to excel in school. His love of learning was instilled in him at a young age. When he arrived in the United States he had little more than a few books and a couple of suitcases. He stayed committed to his education, and has been able to create growing multimillion dollar business where he gets to pass on his love of learning to others. An integral part of our nationwide learning movement is a series of short videos called “Learning Is…” where nearly a hundred people have shared what has inspired them in their lives, what learning has meant to them and why the concept of lifelong learning is so important to individuals and to the future of our world. The Sarder Scholarship Program
Since 2009, the Sarder Scholarship Program awards $2,500 scholarships to worthy individuals on a monthly basis. The program is open to individuals from any background or skill level. The scholarship can be used toward any NetCom Learning course. The program is part of NetCom Learning social philanthropy program helping to provide training for individuals who are struggling financially. The $2,500 scholarship may be all an individual needs to turn their life around, get a new job or a promotion. Up to today 35 individuals have received the Sarder Scholarship.
The Love of Learning Program
The Love of Learning Program is a recent initiative which is geared at providing primary level education to students in disadvantaged countries. The program is another way that NetCom Learning gives back to the community and is a central part of the company’s purpose to promote lifelong learning. The Love of Learning program partners with BRAC USA, a nonprofit development organization that is committed to helping individuals become empowered and educated and to become successful businessmen and women. BRAC USA has helped more than 126 million people in more than eleven countries in Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean with its educational, micro financing and community empowerment programs. The funding for the educational program comes from NetCom Learning donations based on the number of prepaid class registrations. Since the inception of this program, NetCom Learning has already helped sponsor hundreds of children’s education. While this year, the Love of Learning Program expects to open thirty preprimary schools around the world.
