Kayem Invites Fans To Step Up To The Plate To Create Fenway’s Next Frank

For the dog days of summer, one “lucky dog” will have their hot dog creation sold at Fenway Park

CHELSEA, Mass., May 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Fenway Franks have long been a part of enjoying Red Sox games at historic Fenway Park, and now hot dog fans have an opportunity to step up to the plate to make a little history of their own by creating Fenway’s next frank. Kayem Foods, the official frank and sausage of the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Park, launched the first-ever “Create The Next Fenway Frank” contest, giving fans throughout the country the chance to offer their own perfect combination of toppings for enjoying a game at Fenway. The winning dog will be announced on National Hot Dog Day, July 23, and will be served at Red Sox games at Fenway Park that night and select games thereafter.

Kayem’s “Create The Next Fenway Frank” contest will continue through June 15 and fans can visit facebook.com/kayemfranks to create and submit their signature frank. Fans will start with a classic Kayem Fenway Frank and New England Style bun, and can add toppings and dressings to make their creation a home run. On July 1, Kayem will present its lineup of the top five franks as selected by Kayem and Facebook fans will have the chance to vote for their favorite.

Two finalists will be brought to Boston to personally help rally support for their franks at a special free lunchtime National Hot Dog Day celebration at The Landing at Long Wharf on July 23. At the event, a Red Sox player will announce the grand prize winner, who’s winning recipe will be unveiled as part of a ceremony prior to the start of the Red Sox game versus the Tampa Bay Rays that evening. In addition to the honor of having their signature frank sold within Fenway Park, the grand prize winner will also receive a $1,000 Cash Gift Card. Runner up will receive a $500 Cash Gift Card.

This contest is open to all US residents 18 years of age or older. One entry per person. No purchase required, purchasing does not improve your chance of winning. Contestants will be selected based on their creativity and marketability.
