There’s A New Top Dog In The Park! Kayem Announces “The Big Puppi” As The Next Fenway Frank
The grand prize winner of Kayem’s Create The Next Fenway Frank will be sold at Fenway Park during the Red Sox game versus Tampa Bay Rays tonight
CHELSEA, Mass., July 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — There’s a new dog in town and it’s Fenway Park’s newest Fenway Frank creation and the winner of Kayem’s Create The Next Fenway Frank contest. Kayem Foods, the official Frank and Sausage of the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Park, today announced that “The Big Puppi” is the winner of its first-ever Create The Next Fenway Frank contest. Created by Peter Leibowitz of Hudson, MA, the newest Fenway Frank features a Kayem All Beef Fenway Frank topped with spicy ketchup, yellow mustard, sauteed onions, cheese and potato sticks. Peter’s home run Fenway Frank will be sold at Fenway Park during the Red Sox game versus the Tampa Bay Rays tonight and for the remainder of the season. In addition to the honor of having his signature frank sold within Fenway Park, Peter also received a $1,000 Cash Gift Card.
The announcement was made by Kayem and Red Sox player Shane Victorino at today’s National Hot Dog Day celebration at The Landing at Long Wharf. Peter was selected as one of two finalists, who served their creations at Kayem’s National Hot Dog Day celebration.
This spring, Kayem launched its first Create The Next Fenway Frank contest, giving hot dog and Red Sox fans the chance to create their very own unique Fenway Frank to be featured at Fenway Park. Fans started with a classic Kayem Fenway Frank and New England Style bun, and added toppings and dressings to make their creation complete. On July 1, Kayem presented its lineup of the top five franks, as selected by Kayem and Aramark, and Facebook fans voted for their favorite.
