Divine Imagination’s July 24, 2013 Episode, entitled Mood, Music & Health, will encourage listeners to revisit their perceptions about how pop culture and music relate to mental health issues, especially potential contributions to treatment, recovery and maintenance.

Akiva David reports, “Divine Imagination has found two amazing guests that provide an intimate and authentic portrait of their bout with mental illness and how music and pop culture helped them to understand their illness and to seek effective recovery. Divine Imagination received such positive fan feedback from the Monteith episode, especially the listeners who requested more in-depth, exploration of this topic in light of the Monteith tragedy. The playlist will be diverse and includes selections from Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Goo Goo Dolls and Blink 182.”

Akiva David has also recently launched a self-help website, www.bebeyondbest.com, that reflects Akiva’s unique perspective on the power of culture, imagination and faith to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Akiva David assures fans that despite the serious nature of this topic and some intense guest revelations, the Mood, Music & Health episode will provide an informative, respectful and entertaining listening experience.
