The new website disrupts the fragmented home improvement market, offering ease of use, efficient pricing, and a way to one-stop-shop for home services.

Currently operating in the New York/Tri-State area, ServiceRunner.com is rapidly expanding, with more than 1,600 local professionals serving in 21 categories of home improvement services including: Handyman Services, Painting, Electric Work, and Carpentry.

Customers submit a brief description of the job they need done, which gets sent out through the platform to a wide variety of local contractors who then submit offers. ServiceRunner enables the user to compare reviews and prices, and anonymously negotiate in real time, while supplying skilled professionals with incremental revenue on demand.

With more than 15 years in real estate and home improvement, Co-founder and CEO Scott Lesser noticed a gap in the market. “Friends and family were constantly asking me for handyman recommendations and wanted to be sure they were getting the best price,” said Lesser. “With so many requests for referrals I realized that there was a need for a more efficient way for customers and contractors to connect.”
