He coined the term “Brain Reward Cascade and Reward Deficiency Syndrome (RDS).” Considered as the father of Psychiatric Genetics (lead author in JAMA on the discovery of the first genetic association for severe alcoholism) and Nutrigenomic Amino-Acid Therapy (NAAT), Dr. Blum holds both US & foreign patents on Nutrigenomics.
