Brad Paisley and Kids Wish Network Partner to Grant Wishes to Children with Life-Threatening Illnesses

November 1, 2013

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — As the 47(th) Annual Country Music Awards approach all eyes are turned to this year’s hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Country Music artist Brad Paisley is no stranger to success, a three-time Grammy award winning country singer-songwriter with over thirty-two top ten songs on the Billboard Music Charts. He has received numerous awards from the Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association, Country Music Television, the American Music Awards and Nashville Songwriters International.

It is not often enough that these stars are recognized for what they do behind the scenes. Not only is Brad a talented artist, but has a compassion for helping sick children. Over the past 10 years, he has granted several wishes for children through Kids Wish Network and recorded a PSA to bring awareness to Kids Wish Networks cause.

Brad Paisley’s first wish was for Brandy who wanted to visit the Nashville Country Music Festival. While relaxing with her family at their hotel a knock sounded at the door and in walked Brad Paisley! Brandy couldn’t believe her eyes. Brad spent time talking with the teen and her family and even sang lines from Brandy’s favorite song. It was truly a wish to remember.

Brad’s second wish was for Holly, who suffers from neurofibromatosis (NF-1.) All Holly wanted was to see Brad Paisley in concert. However this is not Brad’s style. He was determined to make her wish more special by asking her to visit him backstage after the concert. She warmed right up to Brad and the pair had a good time laughing, taking pictures and signing autographs.

More recently, Brad Paisley teamed up with Kids Wish Network for their Corvette Dream Giveaway Sweepstakes. Corvettes hold a special place in his heart, as does bringing joy to children, so this partnership was a perfect match. He autographed a new special edition car appropriately name the “Brad Paisley Hero Edition,” to raise awareness for the Kids Wish Network Hero Program. The Hero Program recognizes children who have faced and overcome difficult circumstances, often enduring a great deal of pain and suffering. Brad signed and posed with the Corvette ZR1 and the 1967 Corvette Convertible Sting Ray, both which were awarded to one lucky winner.

Kids Wish Network is proud to call Brad Paisley a special “Guardian Angel,” and with best wishes we will all be tuning in to support Brad Paisley Nov. 6 at the Country Music Awards.
