Milestone for Synchrogenix Philippines Office
MAKATI CITY, Manila, Nov. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The regulatory writing company, Synchrogenix Information Strategies Inc., recently celebrated the 5-year anniversary of the opening of their satellite office, Synchrogenix Philippines Inc. (SPI), in Manila.
Opened in July 2008, the Philippines office consisted of 5 writers and editors, one of whom was Jenny Go, now a Regulatory Writer and Associate Team Lead for Synchrogenix. “It is an honor for me to have been part of SPI’s inception and to see it grow over the past 5 years in tandem with the growth of Synchrogenix globally,” Jenny explained. “We at SPI consider ourselves privileged to train under and work with our colleagues in the [United States] and the [United Kingdom] on a daily basis. Because the projects are so diverse and ever-changing, life at SPI has never been less than exciting, even after five years.” Jenny is a key member of the Philippines group, which has more than doubled from 5 writers initially to 14 writers and editors.
Synchrogenix was founded in 1986 by CEO Ellen Barrosse and has grown to include over 70 employees spread over 8 offices worldwide. Headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, Synchrogenix prides itself in its quality regulatory writing. The vast experience of the regulatory writers at Synchrogenix spans across many niches, including medical writing, clinical, nonclinical, drug safety and CMC documents.
The 5-year anniversary of their Philippines office is just another accomplishment for the group. “When we went to the Philippines for the first time, none of us knew how that business venture would turn out,” Ellen explained. “We had planned to work with a Manila?based [business process outsourcing company]BPO, which promised to hire the employees and provide office space, [human resources], and other services. But, the more I interviewed, the more I realized that I wanted to be the employer and to work closely with the people we hired there.
I never could have predicted all that has happened with SPI since its start, both good things and bad. But, I am thrilled that we embarked on this adventure 5 years ago, and I thank all of our SPI employees who have worked hard to make SPI the success story that it is. I know that SPI will continue to contribute at a very high level to our work and our financial success, and I am proud to have them as employees and partners.”
