Whose idea was it?

Why it was created?

RELLECIGA created RIKINI to celebrate the 68(th) anniversary of the bikini, which was named for the Bikini Atolls, where the nuclear bomb was tested. French fashion designer Louis Reard believed his design would shock the world the way the bomb did. Now, after 68 years, RIKINI shocks the world again.

Once controversial, the bikini is now an essential wardrobe item, and designers from RIDI (RELLECIGA Industry Design Institute), Paris, France are free to bring new fashions to the bikini industry.

Why a convertible bikini?
