Brilliance Teams Up With Engadget to Offer Blinged Out Samsung Galaxy Gear Giveaway

March 26, 2014

Wearable tech may be the wave of the future, but Brilliance takes it to a new level by adding style, class and, of course, diamonds to a growing number of wearable tech items.

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla., March 26, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — With the growing industry of wearable tech, Brilliance.com has trained its Master Jewelers to add bling, in the form of diamonds and gemstones, to a series of wearable tech items. Starting with the Jawbone and Samsung Galaxy Gear, Brilliance has more on the way. The thought first came from the COO of Brilliance, Jonathon Ohayon, who wondered “if wearable tech is truly the future of technology, why not give people the ability to personalize”. Which addresses the value of the service Brilliance offers: in an age where everyone will have the newest technology, giving the customer the chance to make it unique for them will be key. To launch our campaign, we sponsored a giveaway with Engadget for the most technologically interested and up-to-date.

Brilliance has seen significant interest in these products. Currently offered as a custom order, Brilliance will be launching a dedicated page of diamond-encrusted wearable tech for the fashionable, yet tech-savvy, consumer. From the beginning, Brilliance has approached this project as a way to offer a unique version of very popular technology. Customers can choose different gems and diamonds to adorn the fully-functional wearable tech. How did this come about? About a year ago Brilliance designers photoshopped diamonds on the Jawbone to measure consumer interest. In a brave move, they offered a product they were not 100% sure how they would execute. When the orders came in, the Master Jewelers started testing (even destroying) the first few versions of the tech. But, after many attempts and deft craftsmanship, our Master Jewelers began their training as experts in encrusting wearable tech. The difficulty comes from the drilling process – drill too deep and you ruin the watch; drill too shallow and the diamonds can fall out.

Brilliance has been innovative since opening its doors in 1989. After years in the wholesale diamond business, the leadership transitioned the company to online only and Brilliance has been an industry leader since. Constantly changing and evolving to the markets needs, Brilliance utilizes the latest technology in the designing of our jewelry and the products we offer.
