THE ZAMROCK SURVIVORS SCREENS AT SAUTI ZA BUSARA

This year marked 11th Edition of Africa’s iconic musical event, Sauti za Busara

Za Busara was The Zamrock survivors [http://www.a24media.com/zamrock ], a documentary
produced in conjunction with CCTV Africa’s faces of Africa

STRINGER UPDATE

This quarter, we feature Tewodros Tekeste one of our gold stringers in Ethiopia.
Tewodros has been working with Africa 24 Media on a freelance basis since 2012 and
recently he officially joined our Africa 24 team. Tewodros has covered various stories on
behalf of Africa 24 media and among them include the Egypt Nile dispute

[http://www.a24media.com/african-union ] summit.

BIG MOUTH AND THE SOMALI PIRATES

Big mouth and the Somali pirates [http://www.a24media.com/?s=somali+pirates ] is a
documentary that uncovers ‘behind the scenes’ story of the notorious and feared pirates
along the coastline of Somalia, the longest in Africa; by bringing you the Father of
Piracy, Mohamed Abdi Hassan, popularly known as Afweyne, or “Big Mouth” in Somali, and his
band of pirates. Afweyne granted an exclusive interview to explain how he organized
fishermen in his home region to protect Somalia coastline through piracy. The film has
been produced in conjunction with CCTV Africa’s Faces of Africa.

Addis is busy and currently a lot of the city is under construction so getting around
was a bit tricky. The roads and most buildings were being revamped. While there I covered

TANZANIA….JAZZMIN JIWA

Africa 24 Media documentary producer Jazzmin Jiwa took a flight with the African
Medical Research Foundation (AMREF) to get a sneak peek into what it’s like to be a flying
doctor.
