Precision Health Economics Expands To Austin
Innovation Hub Tops Many “Best Cities” Lists; Will Draw Talent
AUSTIN, Texas, April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Health economics and policy authority Precision Health Economics (PHE) announced today the opening of its fifth location–Austin, TX–as part of its continuing expansion plan. The Austin office will house both research and executive administrative functions. PHE will draw on the city’s fertile recruitment pool of highly educated science and technology experts to grow its research operations.
PHE is a consultancy comprised of elite thought leaders from the top academic institutions in the nation focused on the critical health economic, health policy and healthcare delivery issues: objective determination of value, and measureable improvement in patient outcomes. PHE’s work is cited in leading journals and is presented in national and global media forums.
In February, Austin ranked number one on Forbes Magazine’s “Fastest Growing Cities” list for the fourth straight year, based on metrics including rates of population growth for 2013 and 2014, job growth for 2013, and gross metropolitan product growth for 2013. The city has lured more than 300 businesses, including several Fortune 500 companies, from other innovation hubs including California and the East Coast in the last nine years.
“PHE is enjoying continued growth–over 45 percent last year and a projected surge of an additional 50 percent in 2014. We need to be based close to the talent, and provide office locations where people would want to move,” said Glenn Bilawsky, PHE CEO. “In our model, employees can locate to any office; Austin–with its climate, fantastic music and arts scene, top schools, and relatively low cost of living–will be a magnet for talent.”
Kiplinger’s previously cited the city’s “innovation factor,” with three elements: smart people, great ideas, and the third critical piece, collaboration. “When governments, universities and business communities work together, the economic vitality is impressive,” the publication said.
PHE’s Austin office is located in the Barton Creek Plaza at 3755 South Capital of Texas Highway, Suite 100, Austin, TX 78704. Other PHE locations include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and Chicago.
