Cottonelle Places Ultimate Wager on “The Great Finish”
Thousands Stand to Win Free Cottonelle Products Pending Kentucky Derby® Results
DALLAS, April 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Cottonelle is upping the ante at this year’s Kentucky Derby with “The Cottonelle Great Finish,” a giveaway that will reward up to 15,000 lucky participants with a year supply of Cottonelle products should the No. 1 and No. 2 positioned racehorses finish the race in that order. The odds of the exacta bet hitting are 100 to 1, but one thing that race-goers know for sure is that nothing beats a great finish.
With no risk involved to enter, Cottonelle is aiming to get people to “talk about their bum.” People looking to get in on the action can sign up at Cottonelle.com. The first 15,000 entrants will be awarded a year’s supply of Cottonelle toilet paper and flushable cleansing cloths if the outcome aligns with the No.1 and No.2 positioned horses finishing in that order, in first and second place during the race.(1)
“The Kentucky Derby has long been an event that people attend looking and feeling their best, so this is a way for us to have a conversation about achieving a confident clean.” said Mike Haley, Cottonelle Marketing Director. “Ultimately, when it comes to No.1 and No. 2, we want people to know that Cottonelle has America covered with a clean and fresh experience.”
The “Great Finish” is one component of a larger sponsorship between Cottonelle and the Kentucky Derby. The brand, along with Clean and Fresh Chief Correspondent Cherry Healey, will treat A-list race-goers to refreshments, hair and makeup touch-ups, and a refresh station in the official green room (renamed “Clean Room”) prior to entering the race. Cottonelle will also be upgrading the bathroom experience for attendees across the terrace level by stocking stalls with Cottonelle toilet paper and flushable cleansing cloths to help people feel clean and fresh throughout the day.
On-site Cottonelle Correspondents from blogs Venus Trapped in Mars, Living in Yellow, Simply Whit in a Sequined Life and Suburban Turmoil will be sharing behind-the-scenes updates of their journey to the Kentucky Derby on behalf of Cottonelle.
Join the conversation and follow along with the “Cottonelle Correspondents” on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #LetsTalkBums.
