Montblanc Unveils New Concept Boutique in Montreal, Further Expanding Canadian Presence
Luxury Goods Manufacturer Opens 1,143 square ft Retail Location at Rue de La Montagne, Showcases New Exterior + Interior Concept Design
MONTREAL, April 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Montblanc announced today that its collections of writing instruments, timepieces, fine jewelry and leather accessories for men and women will have a new home on Rue de La Montagne Street in Montreal, Quebec. With established boutiques in Centre Laval, Toronto and Vancouver, the new 1,143 square foot location marks the luxury brand’s expanding footprint in the Canadian region and showcases its newly conceptualized store interior and exterior store design.
Trial Design, a local architectural millworker with a global reach, designed all the millwork, which can be seen in the blue stone exterior as well as throughout the interior. As the premiere luxury maison for all men’s furnishings, the boutique will offer leather accessories, jewelry, timepieces and of course the iconic Meisterstuck Writing Instrument, which celebrates its 90(th) Anniversary this year. To commemorate 90 years of the iconic fountain pen, Montblanc launched the Meisterstuck Collection, a unique selection of sensual leather goods, meticulously crafted timepieces, refined jewelry and of course a new Meisterstuck featuring a limited-time only special nib. The iconic Meisterstuck has been an enduring symbol of the brand’s values: finest craftsmanship, traditional manufacturing techniques, precious materials, refined aesthetics and best functionality.
Vitrines and glass alcoves will display Montblanc’s timepieces, which are designed and crafted to the highest standards in Montblanc’s manufacturers in Le Locle and Villeret, Switzerland. Montblanc is now only one of an exclusive group of watch manufacturers in the world able to cover a watch making spectrum that extends from the art of haute horlogerie timepieces in its most traditional form through to the state-of-the-art innovation of today’s watch industry. Additionally, to showcase the ladies’ fine jewelry, delicate timepieces and accessories, the boutique will boast softer blonde wood accents.
In January 2014, it was announced that Hugh Jackman would be named Montblanc’s Global Brand Ambassador except in the U.S., furthering the brand’s status as the luxury maison for men’s furnishings.
