Spotify To Host Free Concerts Celebrating Art And Music Under Full-Moon Skies This Summer
The Temper Trap, Dr. Dog, Delta Spirit and More to Play Stops on the “Follow the Moon Tour” Sponsored by Blue Moon Brewing Company
NEW YORK, May 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — This summer, Blue Moon Brewing Company is sponsoring Spotify’s Follow the Moon Tour, a five-city tour bringing together music lovers and emerging artists for “artfully crafted” events.
Featuring festivals timed to coincide with full moons this summer, the Follow the Moon Tour will showcase a curated mix of live music, art installations, food from celebrated chefs and specially crafted beers served by Blue Moon Brewing Company brewmasters. The tour will culminate with a performance by The Temper Trap at the Blue Moon Brewing Company’s Sandlot brewery in downtown Denver just before the Super Moon, a night when the moon is closest to the earth.
“Brewing beer is an art,” said Keith Villa, founder and head brewmaster at Blue Moon Brewing Company. “The Follow the Moon Tour is a collection of some of the things that inspire us most as brewers: art, music, food and people.”
“You can’t go wrong with great music, great beer and great fun under the moonlight,” said Jeff Levick, Chief Business Officer, Spotify. “Blue Moon Brewing Company understands, like Ozzy does, sometimes you just have to bark at the moon.”
Follow the Moon Tour stops and headlining bands:
-- Phoenix (May 15) - Dr. Dog -- Charleston (June 2) - Typhoon -- Chicago (June 12) - Moon Taxi -- New York City (July 12) - Delta Spirit -- Denver (August 8) - The Temper Trap
Legal-drinking-age fans can RSVP for these free events at www.Spotify.com/FollowTheMoon. Registration for the first tour stop in Phoenix begins May 1. Registration for the following tour stops is scheduled to open three weeks before each show. Fans must RSVP in advance to attend as space is limited.
People can follow along with the Follow the Moon Tour online, where Spotify will release interviews with the artists, behind-the-scenes footage and custom playlists curated by the artists. For more information on the Follow the Moon Tour, go to www.Spotify.com/FollowTheMoon.
