Pinterest announces MarTech Developer alpha, working with select third party software developers to deliver business insights.

OKLAHOMA CITY and NEW YORK, May 22, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Tailwind (http://tailwindapp.com), the Pinterest marketing suite, announces participation in Pinterest’s MarTech (“marketing technology”) Developer Alpha and launches Tailwind v3, powered by the Pinterest Business Insights API.

Pinterest is supporting select 3rd party software developers who build value-added Pinterest tools for businesses. Tailwind, with access to the private Pinterest Business Insights API (“application programming interface”), delivers meaningful insights to Pinterest marketers related to what’s happening on Pinterest around their brand, content, products and customers.

Tailwind v3 expands on existing Pinterest management and marketing capabilities with a number of enhancements including a trending pins view to show which pins have been most viral in a given timeframe, easier ways to engage a brand’s community, more flexible user notification options and a weekly summary dashboard across all of a business’ data. The biggest addition, though, is a comprehensive Domain Monitoring capability to help businesses see which of their images are trending across Pinterest, how users are discussing their brand and which pins are driving their reach.
