Nordic Cross-country Legends Meet One More Time

HELSINKI, May 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ –

Finnish Juha Mieto was defeated by Swedish Thomas Wassberg in the 1980 Lake Placid
Olympics by only 0,01 seconds. And that is the smallest ever margin in the history of
cross-country skiing.

This traumatic event has not been forgotten in the minds of the Finns. The Nordic
sport nation has experienced many other bitter defeats, but never by such a small margin
as a hundredth of a second.

Now is the time to seek revenge! The skiing legends will meet again, but this time the
ski poles have changed into axes and skis into logs.
