Retirement Living TV’s Live News and Lifestyle Program Daily Cafe Has a New Co-Host

COLUMBIA, Md., Oct. 31 /PRNewswire/ — Retirement Living TV (RLTV), the first cable network created for people aged 55+, announced today a new co-host for Daily Cafe. Former CNBC and CNN anchor Felicia Taylor will be joined by Bobbie Battista, also a former anchor at CNN.

Daily Cafe is a two-hour live weekday program that serves as a meeting place for mature adults to learn about and discuss informative and enjoyable topics in an interactive environment. Viewers bring some of the best pieces to the program by communicating with hosts and guest, via call-in segments and emails. Regular contributors include home designer Christopher Lowell, “America’s favorite sex therapist” Dr. Ruth, film and culture critic Arch Campbell and gossip columnist Michael Musto of “The Village Voice”. This program also provides authoritative news updates from NBC News, delivered by veteran correspondents.

During the first week of Daily Cafe in its new time, noon to 2 p.m., guests included Alan Greenspan, Lynne Cheney, Frankie Valli, former CIA operative Valerie Plame, Aida Turturro, who played Janice Soprano on HBO’s hit show The Sopranos and The Captain & Tennille.

Five-time Emmy award nominee Felicia Taylor was most recently a freelance business news anchor and correspondent at CNN. However, Taylor is widely-recognized, for her work at WNBC-TV’s No.1 rated weekend morning news program, Weekend Today in New York.

Prior to her work at WNBC-TV, Taylor worked at CNBC, where she was co-anchor of Today’s Business and Market Watch. While at CNBC, Taylor also served as a contributor to the weekday editions of Today in New York, providing daily business and stock market updates for the show. Over her career in the industry she has received multiple awards and acclaim for coverage of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Iraqi war and Black Monday.

Bobbie Battista began her career at CNN as an anchor for CNN Headline News, where she manned the anchor desk for five years. In 1986 Bobbie transferred to CNN where she began a long career anchoring numerous programs including CNN Today, World News, Prime News, Newsday and NewsHour. She covered and reported on 22 years of history including the 9/11 tragedy, the Gulf War, the fall of the Soviet Union and the Berlin Wall, the Challenger explosion and multiple Republican and Democratic National political conventions. During this tenure, Bobbie also did a daily program on CNN International, making her the only anchor in the company’s history to work at all three CNN networks.

The executive producer of Daily Cafe is Jay Garfinkel. Steve Lewis is the senior producer.
