Local Heroes Get Together Again
February 26, 2008
THE cast and crew of one of Scotland’s best-loved films were reunited in Glasgow for a special silver anniversary screening of Local Hero.
Bill Forsyth’s eccentric comedy about a Texan oil company’s attempt to buy up a fictional fishing village has charmed generations of Scots.
Yesterday’s screening, before a sold-out house at the Glasgow Film Theatre, was part of the Glasgow Film Festival.
Many original cast members from the 1983 film, including Denis Lawson, Jenny Black, Roger Murray Leach, Tam Dean Burn and Jonathan Watson turned up for the show.
