12.7M Watched ‘Raisin in the Sun’ on ABC

An estimated 12.7 million viewers tuned in to see the U.S. television movie based on Lorraine Hansberry’s classic play A Raisin in the Sun.
Co-starring Sean Diddy Combs, Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald, Sanaa Lathan and John Stamos, the film debuted Monday night on ABC.
This has been a life-changing experience for me. I love acting. In order to make movies, I have to be where the movies are being made, Combs said in a statement, explaining that he plans to divide his time between the East and West coasts so he can dedicate more time to his new career.
Combs is also a fashion and music mogul.
