First Look Studios Announces the DVD Release of "DAY OF THE DEAD" Starring Mena Suvari, Nick Cannon and Ving Rhames

First Look Studios (OTCBB: FRST) announces the DVD release of "DAY OF THE DEAD," in stores April 8, 2008. Millennium Films produced the film, and it is directed by Steve Miner (Director of "Lake Placid") and written by Jeffrey Reddick (Writer of the "Final Destination" films). The producers are Boaz Davidson, James Dudleson, Randall Emmett, and George Furla. The executive producers are Avi Lerner, Danny Dimbort, and Trevor Short.

Based on the George A. Romero zombie thriller, "DAY OF THE DEAD" follows the footsteps of its predecessor's cult sensation. A mysterious virus has spread throughout the town of Leadville, Colorado. As the military, led by Captain Rhodes (Ving Rhames) and his troops (Mena Suvari and Nick Cannon), quarantines the infected, survivors realize that the dead have evolved into a new species of hungry-flesh-craving-zombies. The survivors are forced to fend for themselves and try to make it out of the self-consuming town alive. This follow up to Romero's film guarantees the same thrills as the original.
