Mar. 3–A season finale featuring Terminators, a two-hour special about Britain’s royal family and another special about the Osmonds — some powerful forces are at work in tonight’s lineup.

Stuff to watch or record

ABC World News With Charles Gibson: The Texas primaries bring Gibson to Dallas, where he’ll anchor tonight’s and Tuesday’s newscasts. See my Q&A with him on page 9E. 5:30 p.m., WFAA/Channel 8

Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles: In the two-hour first-season finale (which is two episodes stitched together), the loyalty of John Connor’s cyborgian protector Cameron (Summer Glau) is questioned. 7 p.m., KDFW/Channel 4

20/20: The Royal Family: Barbara Walters anchors this two-hour special, which goes behind palace walls to see just what it is that Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and other members of the British royal family do every day. Apparently it involves more than tea and crumpets, as Prince Harry’s deployment to Afghanistan indicates. But I’ll bet it’s not as crazy as The Tudors. 7 p.m., WFAA/Channel 8

Deal or No Deal: Grand Prairie’s Jason Yeager may have been eliminated from American Idol last week, but the city still represents on TV as Grand Prairie’s Keshia Morris goes after the $1 million prize on tonight’s DOND. 8 p.m., KXAS/Channel 5

The Osmonds 50th Anniversary Reunion: Come on down by the lazy river — OK, by the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas — and check out the clean-cut pop family as they perform their hits, both from their group years and Donny and Marie’s solo years. But will Marie dance with any stars? Andy Williams, whose ’60s TV show did a lot to popularize the Osmonds, makes an appearance. 8 p.m., KERA/Channel 13

Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious: Nicole Scherzinger, probably the most recognizable Pussycat Doll, performs in this episode of the I-Wanna-Be-a-PCD competition. 8 p.m., KDAF/Channel 33

Dangerous Encounters With Brady Barr: A Life Captured: Fort Worth’s Barr has done some pretty crazy things with snakes and other critters in his previous National Geographic shows. This is a compilation of his greatest hits — and bites, and probably stings, and … 8 p.m., NGC

The New Adventures of Old Christine: Christine’s brother Matthew (the drolly laconic Hamish Linklater) goes to a therapist and learns that his intimacy issues have to do with his being too close to his sister (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). It took a therapist to tell him that, huh? I’ll bet most loyal viewers have had it figured out since the first episode. 8:30 p.m., KTVT/Channel 11

Medium: Gregory Itzin, who was so good as the worst U.S. president in history on 24, does the politician thing again as a senator who is a big backer of Manuel Devalos’ bid to regain the district attorney’s office. One problem: Allison (Patricia Arquette) has visions that place Itzin’s character in the middle of a grand conspiracy. Is she sure she’s not just watching season five of 24? Miguel Sandoval, who plays Devalos, directed this episode. 9 p.m., KXAS/Channel 5

October Road: In the season’s penultimate episode, a childhood crush shared by the guys dies unexpectedly, leading to flashbacks of when Nick (Bryan Greenberg) and his pals were 10 years old. 9 p.m., WFAA/Channel 8
