US White House hopeful Mike Huckabee proudly introduced Mick Jagger at a huge rally – then later realised it was the star’s younger brother Chris.

The Republican, who performs Stones hits with his band on the campaign trail, had met him at a Miami roadside cafe.

And Chris, 60, played along when asked to join him that evening on stage.

Mr Huckabee, 52, told the crowd: “We have a surprise visitor here tonight. Will you welcome Mr Mick Jagger, who will sing two of his bands’ songs with us.”

Cheeky Chris, who released two albums in the early 70s, took part in the gig – with the politician only realising he had been duped hours later.

Aides are now said to be trying to claim he was in on the joke all along.
