Taking Back Sunday to Perform at New York City's Madison Square Garden With My Chemical Romance on May 9th

Posted on: Thursday, 6 March 2008, 09:00 CST

New York's Taking Back Sunday will join their good friends My Chemical Romance for a very special show at New York City's famed Madison Square Garden on May 9th, 2008. Tickets for the show, which also features New Jersey's Drive By, are almost sold out.

Taking Back Sunday -- which is singer Adam Lazzara, guitarist Eddie Reyes, drummer Mark O'Connell, and bassist Matt Rubano -- spent 2007 touring behind their gold-certified 2006 album "Louder Now," including a stint on last summer's Projekt Revolution Tour with Warner Bros. Records label-mates Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, and HIM. The show at Madison Square Garden will be their first in 2008.

"I can't explain how thrilled I am to play at the legendary Madison Square Garden," Reyes says. "What else can I say but that this is a dream come true. What a great way to kick off the new year with My Chemical Romance. We did a lot of tours with those guys and I can't imagine sharing this experience with anyone else. I will be counting down the days."

Taking Back Sunday, whose most recent release was a live two-DVD set titled "Louder Now Parttwo," are currently shuttling between Texas and New York writing songs for the follow-up to "Louder Now."
