The Nokia Theatre at L.A. Live is to be the new home of the Primetime Emmy Awards show, starting with this year's event, it was announced Tuesday.
The 60th Annual Primetime Emmys, which honor the year's best in television, are slated to air Sept. 21 on the ABC Television Network.
AEG and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences signed a 10-year agreement to bring the awards show to the L.A. Live venue, ABC said in a statement.
Financial terms of the pact were not disclosed.
The deal also will place the 2008 Creative Arts Emmy show the preceding weekend at the new 7,100-seat theater, located across from Staples Center.
The agreement also calls for the 2008 Creative Arts and Governor's balls to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, which is adjacent to L.A. Live, said ABC.
