Obama Stars in Ed’s Film

MOVIE star Ed Norton is working on a documentary focusing on the presidential campaign of Barack Obama.

The Fight Club star was inspired to make the film after watching a speech from the Illinois senator at the 2004 Democratic national convention.

Through his film production company, the actor is already working with director Amy Rice on the untitled film which began shooting before Obama launched his bid for the Democratic nomination for the White House.

Norton said: “It was exciting to see someone from our generation, not our parents’, make his presence felt in such an inspiring way.

“It was akin to the way I remembered my dad describing how he felt when Kennedy gave his inauguration speech.

“When I first saw him none of us voted for him or contributed to his campaigns.

None of us was saying, ‘I want to back this guy for president’.”
