Patric, Dekker Join ‘Sister’s Keeper’
U.S. actors Jason Patric and Thomas Dekker have joined the cast of the big-screen adaptation of Jodi Picoult’s novel My Sister’s Keeper.
The film also stars Cameron Diaz, Alec Baldwin, Joan Cusack and Abigail Breslin, and is being shot by director Nick Cassavetes in Los Angeles, The Hollywood Reporter said.
The story is about a young girl who sues her parents — a former district attorney and a firefighter — for emancipation after she was conceived and undergoes several operations to help save her older sister who is suffering from leukemia.
Dekker now stars in the TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Patric has appeared in the films The Lost Boys, Rush, Your Friends & Neighbors, Sleepers, Narc, The Alamo and In the Valley of Elah.”
