Decade of Shooting Stars Goes on Show
OVER the past decade, Sarah Robinson’s photography has captured some of the biggest names in the music business.
And she is now planning to stage her largest ever exhibition which will feature portraits including Paul Weller, Blur and Leeds’s very own Kaiser Chiefs in her home town of Scarborough.
The display of 40 images will be on show at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in the North Yorkshire resort from the end of this month until May. The 31-year-old photographer, known as sarahphotogirl, is now creating images inspired by fairy tales and literature.
But her new exhibition is firmly grounded in her work with the world of music, which began with Britpop legends Blur.
Sarah grew up in Belton, near Doncaster, before heading to St John’s University in York to study film, television and literature.
The exhibition will run from Thursday, March 31, until Tuesday, May 6. A private viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 8. For more details email guestlist@sarahphotogirl.co.uk
