African American Museum to Honor Jones

The Northwest African American Museum announced its grand opening week will conclude with an event honoring Quincy Jones at the Seattle Paramount Theatre.
Jones is a famed record, TV and film producer, composer, conductor, instrumentalist and Seattle native.
He is to be awarded the NAAM Board of Directors’ first Lifetime Achievement Award at a concert Sunday featuring performances by Carlos Santana, James Ingram, Ernestine Anderson, Siedah Garrett, Clarence Acox & the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra featuring jazz great Buddy Catlett, Steve Connell and Sekou, Laura Piece Kelley-Jahn, Ruby Bishop, and Juan Huey Ray and Sound of the Northwest.
