New York six-piece White Rabbits like to do things in twos: they boast a pair of drummers and the band is fronted by dual vocalists Greg Roberts and Alex Even. They have a refreshingly wide-ranging style, from effervescent music-hall numbers to moody, bluesy riffs. Their sound is textured and rich without being overbearing, with nods to The Specials and Cold War Kids.

All six are songwriters and swap instruments at will, giving their debut album ‘Fort Nightly’, just released in the UK on Fierce Panda (with two bonus tracks), a vibrant and varied feel. See them through the looking glass when they play in the UK at the end of April. Sonia Zhuravlyova
