Those purveyors of princely British pop rock known as Supergrass bring their rich and bouncy back catalogue and a fine bunch of fresh tunes from their sixth album, Diamond Hoo Ha, to Exeter’s Lemon Grove on Thursday, June 5 as part of an extensive UK tour. The irrepressible Oxfordshire outfit, who recorded their 1995 debut at Cornwall’s Sawmills Studios, are on top form with this sparkling new collection and a renewed live energy.

KAISER Chiefs are the third headline act to be announced for this year’s Sessions at the Eden Project. The Leeds popsters, famed for anthemic hits I Predict a Riot, Ruby and Oh My God, will play on Tuesday, July 15. They join The Verve who will perform on June 27 and KT Tunstall (July 25). Tickets for Kaiser Chiefs cost pounds33 plus booking fee, and go on general sale at 6pm on Wednesday, April 9.

TWO hot new acts make their Westcountry debuts at Exeter’s Cavern Club this month. Glasgow sextet Make Model have been tipped as ones to watch in 2008, with their epic version of alternative pop. Their first major label release is the new single, LSB, which has been described as “the most ludicrously catchy artschool indie to have come out of Glasgow since Franz Ferdinand”. Look See Proof are creating the sort of angular, choppy, vocally layered, danceable music that’s hard to ignore. They come to Exeter fresh from the prestigious SXSW music showcase festival in Texas.

Make Model with support from The Corrections play at the Exeter Cavern on April 6 and Look See Proof perform there at a free indie club night on April 12
