Spears May Get Another Cameo; Byrne to New York Stage
An executive producer for How I Met Your Mother says he’s open to having Britney Spears return for another cameo.
“We always said, ‘You know, if her character pops, we’ll bring her back,’ ” Carter Bays told the Associated Press. “I thought she was great. I was very proud of that episode.”
Spears, 26, garnered good reviews for her guest starring role as a goofy receptionist in the March 24 episode of the CBS sitcom. The show ended with Spears’ character flirting with womanizer Barney (Neil Patrick Harris).
So will she or won’t she come back?
“I don’t know,” he said. “I don’t know the answer to that.”

Gabriel Byrne — who has won raves and plenty of female fans for his work on the HBO series In Treatment — will play the lead in the New York Philharmonic’s concert performance of Camelot May 7-10 at Lincoln Center.
The May 8 show at Avery Fisher Hall will be broadcast nationally on PBS’ Live from Lincoln Center.
The Tony-winning Camelot, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, first appeared on Broadway in 1960.
Byrne, 57, will perform opposite Marin Mazzie (who recently appeared on Broadway in Spamalot) as Guenevere.
