Page to Play Title Heroine in ‘Eyre’

Canadian actress Ellen Page has been cast as the heroine in the latest big-screen adaptation of Charlotte Bronte’s classic British romance Jane Eyre.
Variety.com said the producers plan to start shooting the BBC Films project this fall.
Jane Eyre is about a 19th-century nanny who falls in love with her employer, a wealthy, moody man hiding a terrible secret.
Page earned an Oscar nomination for her performance in Juno. She has also starred in the films Hard Candy and Smart People.
