Jason Castro Eliminated From 'Idol'

"American Idol" cut to the final three on Wednesday with the elimination of Jason Castro, who drew a blank on the lyrics this week.
With his guitar and trademark dreadlocks, Castro was eliminated after more than 50 million votes were cast following Tuesday's show.
"I think my inexperience is coming in," Castro said of the mistake.
This week, the finalists sang from classics in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
David Cook delivered Duran Duran's "Hungry Like the Wolf" and "Baba O'Riley," to mixed reviews.
"You've been one of our most original ever," judge Randy Jackson told him Wednesday.
Syesha Mercdado, who wound up in the bottom two this week, sang "Proud Mary" (Simon Cowell called it a "a bad, shrieky version" of Tina Turner) and "A Change Is Gonna Come" (and got nods from Cowell and Paula Abdul).
David Archuleta sang "Stand By Me" and "Love Me Tender" to positive reviews.
Castro sang "I Shot the Sheriff" ("karaoke Bob Marley," said Jackson) and then fumbled the lyrics to Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man." Pack your suitcase, Cowell advised.
Former contestant Bo Bice returned to the show to promote his new album, "See the Light." Of the show's new policy to allow singers to perform with an instrument, Bice said he thought it was a positive change, though "some played behind the instruments too much."
His advice for the contestants going into the final run: "Practice, practice, practice."
