Then Friday, May 23 Fox Reality Channel shows the first re-purpose run of “Last Comic Standing.” The next big event is on Saturday, May 24th with the premiere of the groundbreaking original series “The Academy: LASD Class #368.” Concluding The Biggest Week of Reality TV is the provocative “Paradise Hotel 2″ reunion show on Monday, May 26.
The sixth season of “Last Comic Standing” premieres on NBC on Thursday, May 22. Fox Reality Channel has the first re-purpose of this fan favorite on Friday, May 23 at 11:30p ET/8:30p PT; completing and joining all of the other seasons of “Last Comic Standing” in Fox Reality Channel’s acquisition library. Hosted by Bill Bellamy, the Emmy-nominated series features top comedians from across the world competing to become the Last Comic Standing. Fox Reality Channel will air encore episodes all week long.
“Acquiring a popular and successful series from NBC and airing it within the same week is a testament to how far our network has grown in the past three years,” said Bob Boden, SVP Programming, Production & Development, Fox Reality Channel. “Fox Reality Channel is the home for all reality and that’s why broadcast networks look to us to highlight their reality shows.”
Since Fox Reality Channel’s launch on May 24, 2005, the network has more than tripled its reach across the US. According to internal sources, the network has propelled past its initial availability in 12 million homes and is currently available in almost 46 million homes.
